Usman vs Masvidal UFC 251 – MMA News & Odds

When the president of the UFC, Dana White, said that nothing would stop him from fighting, he mentioned that he would get an island to do international events there. It sounded crazy – and it is – but White kept his word and it’s time to welcome Fight Island. To that end, the UFC formed one of the most absurd fight cards ever seen, with three fights per championship, on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. Let’s see how the fighters come to this Usman vs. Masvidal for you to make your bets against their UFC odds.

Usman vs Masvidal | UFC 251 July 11 2020

Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal – Welterweight Championship

When Gilbert Burns tested positive for Covid-19, the whole planet of MMA came to a standstill, the stellar fight was ruined. Who, moreover, in their right mind would accept a fight against Kamaru Usman with only a week of preparation? Make way for ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal.

Usman has an elite Greco-Roman fight, probably the best in the UFC, and certainly the best of the 170 pounds. But as we saw in his defence against Covington, he can stand up and look solid.

With creepy cardio, Usman can perform the 25 minutes without a problem, something that can be really useful when facing someone who won’t have much preparation and who will also have to cut weight drastically, as it’s rumored that Masvidal must lose about 20 pounds to be in championship weight.

Masvidal was the star of 2019, knocking out Darren Till in his London homeland, taking the undefeated Ben Askren in just five seconds with one knee straight to the head, in Madison Square Garden, and ending the year with The Rock tightening the belt on the Son of P- the Baddest in the Industry, when he broke Nate Diaz for three rounds, until the doctors stopped the fight.

Masvidal has more than earned this opportunity, however, conditions are not at all favorable for him. That said, with 48 professional fights and being in the MMA world since 2003, nothing is new to Masvidal, who also has 16 wins by way of chloroform and has a jaw that resists more than a fighter should.

With prolific boxing, tireless elbows in the clinch, and a drive to always go out in front looking for the finish, Masvidal is one of the most attractive fighters to see in the octagon.

However, the adversity that the Cuban-American will face are of great weight. Therefore, the recommended bet is Usman -265.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway – Featherweight Championship

Volkanovski, despite being a champion, is not a very famous name, since his arrival at the top was quiet, but violent. With a record of 21-1, Volkanovksi climbed like a lion at 145 pounds and surprised the world by defeating Holloway.

Holloway, for his part, is recognized as the best featherweight in history, and he wants his legacy to return with a belt on his waist. This fight will stand in the middle of the octagon, with both fighters looking to trade off until they connect enough to shut down their opponent.

The recommended bet is for Max Holloway +185, who must regain his throne at any cost to avoid falling into the 145-pound chasm.

Petr Yan vs Jose Aldo – Bantamweight World Championship

The 135-pound crown became vacant after Henry Cejudo’s surprising retirement. Now, we will have a duel of contrasts to define the new king of the Peso Gallo. Petr Yan is a beast who has been knocking down every obstacle in his path with hard knocks and great kick boxing. With a 14-1 record, it’s his time to assert himself.

Jose Aldo is just the opposite, he is a legend of the sport, who simply wants to prove that he still has cartridges to burn, after leaving the 145-pound division. Aldo possesses a great head movement, a lethal counter-attack and the best leg kicks in the industry.

The recommended bet is on Petr Yan -225. Although he has not faced anyone of this magnitude, stopping the Russian seems to be quite complicated.

Styrian Grand Prix 2020 Sunday 12th July – Formula 1 News & Odds

The Formula 1 season will see a Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Austria for the second week in a row. This is also the second race of the season that started with Lewis Hamilton off the podium, and a rather surprising top three. Let’s see how the drivers get to this Styrian Grand Prix so you can place your bets against their Formula 1 odds.

Favourites to win the Styrian Grand Prix 2020 | Sunday 12th July

Lewis Hamilton

  • Formula 1 Predictions: -125

Hamilton finished fourth in his first race of the season, but as he got to know the track and warm up, Hamilton became much more dangerous. On the other hand, how long can we wait for Hamilton not to be victorious. It is worth noting that Hamilton crossed the finish line in second place, but a five second penalty left him off the podium.

If there is one thing that Hamilton does, it is to win, so we can expect a much more aggressive version, and find his rhythm in his mission to reach a status that equals the mythical Michael Schumacher.

Valtteri Bottas

  • Austrian Grand Prix Predictions: +250

The Finn surprised everyone by winning from +550 to crossing the checkered flag in first place. Bottas was second the year before, but his competitiveness really rises in important instances. He comes from winning at this same circuit and starting the season in the best possible way, which is why he starts as the second favourite to win at the Steiermark Grand Prix. Bottas led all the laps of the Grand Prix, never giving up on the others.

Max Verstappen

  • Formula 1 Predictions: +300

The Dutchman had a fateful start, not even finishing the race due to electrical faults in his single-seater. With all this, the Red Bull Ring gives Verstappen a chance for revenge and to put his season in order. The 22-year-old generates a lot of expectation within his team, Red Bull Racing, and even ranks third in the odds to win the driver’s championship. A good performance at this Grand Prix is therefore vital to Verstappen’s aspirations.

Alexander Albon

  • Austrian Grand Prix Predictions: +2500

The Thai-British Red Bull driver was having a great race, reaching third place as he entered the final stretch of the race. However, a collision with Hamilton (which cost the Mercedes driver his punishment) left Albon behind in thirteenth place and, from there, it all went downhill for the 24-year-old driver, who, on lap 68, had electrical faults in his car, forcing him to abandon the race.

Yes, both Red Bull drivers were forced to retire for the same kind of inconvenience, setting off alarms in the team.

Charles Leclerc

  • Formula 1 Predictions: +4000

Crazy. The quota for a victory of Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari is exorbitant, especially considering that he was second in the first Grand Prix of the season, in the same circuit in which they will run this Sunday. Although he crossed the finish line in third place, but because of the punishment to Hamilton he was promoted to second place, that quota is too juicy to pass up.

Leclerc was 2.7 seconds behind the winner Bottas, after starting in position number seven when the green flag was waved. In a matter of three laps, between the 64th and 66th, Leclerc drove superbly over both Lando Norris and Sergio Perez. After his completion, Leclerc moved up to second place due to the punishment imposed on Hamilton.

F1 Steiermark GP Predictions

The start of Formula 1 was absolute chaos, with only 11 of the 20 drivers managing to finish the race. There was no shortage of emotions, far from it. Now, on the same circuit of the Red Bull Ring, the drivers will have a new opportunity to redeem themselves, or, from the beginning, establish themselves as strong contenders for the drivers’ championship.

Bottas has never won back-to-back races, but it’s an interesting bet because of how he dominated the first Grand Prix of the year. His teammate, Lewis Hamilton, is always a favourite and although the payoff is not that great, a bet on his name will always be safe.

However, Charles Leclerc is the recommended bet, his payoff is huge and comes from being on the podium at the Austrian GP. The Monegasque is a driver who, although he has only won two GPs in his short career, always competes at the top and can steal a giant prize on Sunday. For such a big payment, it’s worth it, especially because every race in Austria, he improves his performance. Recommended bet Leclerc +4000.

Quaker State 400 – NASCAR News & Odds

The NASCAR Cup Series is starting to take shape and it’s Kevin Harvick who seems to be running away from it all by himself to position himself as the number one driver in NASCAR this 2020. Now, the circuit will pass by the Kentucky track where the mission is to stop Harvick from having a good race, and, his pursuers, look for ways to shorten the qualifying distance. Let’s see how the drivers get to this Quaker State 400 so you can make your bets against their NASCAR odds.

Favorites to win the Quaker State 400 | Sunday, July 12

Kevin Harvick

  • NASCAR forecasts: +350

Harvick leads the NASCAR Cup series standings with 637 points, four wins and nine places in the top five when the races are over. He’s been impeccable this season. However, Kentucky is not his best ally, as he has finished in the top five only once and even finished tenth or worse three times.

Denny Hamlin

  • Quaker State 400 Predictions: +500

Hamlin is fifth in the table, but has already won four times this season, with nine finishes also in the top five. Hamlin has 528 points but failed to finish the last race in Indianapolis. Hamlin, however, has three top-five finishes at Kentucky Speedway.

Hamlin has had a good season, but must capitalize on their good finishes to not fall further behind in driver ratings.

Chase Elliott

  • NASCAR forecasts: +500

Chase Elliott finished eleventh in Indianapolis, which allowed Harvick to take off at the top. Elliott is second, but he is 552 points behind Harvick in the standings.

With only one win, but a consistent presence in the top five (7 finishes), Elliott must start winning races to put the pressure back on Hamlin. Otherwise, he can kiss his Cup Series ambitions goodbye.

Kyle Busch

  • Quaker State 400 Predictions: +650

Despite his poor season, where he is eleventh overall and only has three top-five finishes, Kyle Busch is a danger on any track. He finished sixth in Indianapolis.

With two wins (2011 and 2015) and two second places (2014 and 2019) in Kentucky, taking Busch off the pace could be serious. It’s a good payoff, but his current level leaves room for doubt about the usually reliable Kyle Busch.

Joey Logano

  • NASCAR forecasts: +800

Logano was victorious in two of the first four races, but since then he has only been able to reach the top five once, he has lost strength. His best performance in Kentucky is the now distant 2015 edition, where he finished second. In fact, it’s his only finish in the top five in Kentucky.

Logano currently sits sixth on the scoreboard, just one point behind Denny Hamlin, and seven points behind Ryan Blaney, so a win in Kentucky would catapult him to the top of the table.

NASCAR Quaker State 400 Predictions

The NASCAR season is maturing and, in view of this, we see usual candidates starting as favorites within each race, as is the case of Hamlin or, of course, Kevin Harvick, who are the two drivers with more wins so far in the Cup Series.

Having said that, we also see Kyle Busch, who has some favoritism for his background in Kentucky Speedway, rather than for his performance within this season, but betting on Busch can be dangerous due to his bad pace.

Therefore, the recommended bet is Chase Elliott. Elliott has been the definition of consistency and he has yet to make that final jump, where he can not only secure his second place in the standings, but also be able to remind Harvick that he has dangerous pursuers. In addition, Elliott pays $500 for every $100, which is a more than attractive return for this race.

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Ige – MMA News & Odds

The octagon made a great debut on Fight Island with UFC 251, but such a structure was not created to rest after the first event, quite the contrary. With three events still to be played, the first is the Fight Night, which has two featherweights in the top 10 of its division. Let’s see how the fighters arrive to this Kattar vs Ige for you to make your bets against their UFC odds.

Kattar vs Ige | UFC Fight Night July 15 2020

Calvin Kattar vs Dan Ige | Featherweight

Calvin Kattar is a veteran of the octagon, with 21 wins and four losses. After a big fight that saw him fall to Zabit Magomedsharipov, Kattar had a brutal rebound, knocking Jeremy Stephens out with a really scary elbow to the nose. Kattar is ranked sixth in the featherweight class and a resounding victory puts him in the title-challenging arena.

With an excellent Muay Thai, Kattar likes the exchange with good combinations and, if he manages to shorten distance in the range, he is extremely dangerous in the clinch, where his knees and elbows come out frequently. Besides this, Kattar is a great fighter, due to his schooling in this discipline.

Dan Ige comes from six consecutive wins, with names like Edson Barboza on that list. With a record of 14-2, Ige is a constant within the octagon. Despite training mostly on a team that focuses on kickboxing, Ige has a strong background in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, where he is a brown belt.

A fight of styles, whoever comes out on top can have a remote-controlled boost to the top of the division. Recommended bet Calvin Kattar -310.

Tim Elliott vs Ryan Benoit | Flyweight

Tim Elliott is #12 in the flyweight ranking, and his position within it is in strong doubt, due to his three consecutive losses. Always an entertaining fighter who seeks to take risks in order to achieve his goal, Elliott always draws attention, despite the result.

In strange contrast, six of his victories have come by way of submission, five of his defeats have come by way of defeat. In other words, his risks are not always reciprocated. Elliott has a record of 15-11, but he has already fought twice in 2020 so he has a certain amount of competition.

Ryan Benoit was #15 in the ranking, however his last loss to Alateng Heili saw him fall out of it, and this is his chance to get back in it.

With a 10-6 mark, Benoit is a contrast to Elliott’s style, as he likes the exchange of punches more than bringing his opponent to the mat. Specializing in Muay Thai, Benoit has finished eight of his 10 opponents by anesthetic method. His power in the fists for flyweight division is truly fearsome, and Elliott does not possess the best chin to support them.

If Benoit can keep the fight going, he has a huge advantage over Elliott. Recommended bet is Ryan Benoit -110, in what may represent his return to the flyweight rankings.

UFC Fight Night Fulla Card | Kattar vs. Ige | July 15 2020

  • Bantamweight. Jack Shore (-600) vs. Aaron Phillips (+400)
  • Flyweight. Liana Jojua (+135) vs. Diana Belbita (-165)
  • Featherweight. Chris Fishgold (+115) vs. Jared Gordon (-145)
  • Middleweight. Modest Bukauskas (-225) vs. Andreas Michailidis (+185)

FC Barcelona Vs C.A. Osasuna LaLiga Matchday 37 – Soccer News & Odds

Barcelona will receive C.A Osasuna in the 34th round, hoping that Real Madrid does not get three in their game, to hold on to the miracle of getting into the Spanish League title in the last round. Let’s see how these teams arrive at this Barcelona vs Osasuna for you to make your bets against their LaLiga odds.

Barcelona vs Osasuna La Liga 2020 Matchday 37

FC Barcelona Analysis

The Spanish championship has two rounds left, which are decisive for Barcelona, who could see Real Madrid win the league on the same day.

The miracle seems to be far, their rival has been solid in terms of wins, although it is not a team overwhelming as on other occasions, for its part Barcelona, had two painful punctures that were brought down a whole season very irregular.

After two painful draws with Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid, both two goals behind, the Catalans have failed to score points again, now with three wins in a row, but it still looks like the fuel tank will not be enough.

Now they will have a game that on paper looks comfortable, the Osasuna sum 31 points less than the Barcelona and no longer have any chance of achieving any goal, but to ratify their stay in first.

Barcelona has assured for the next season its participation in the Champions League, additional, to less of a catastrophe of last moment, they will be the runners-up in this atypical season 2019-2020.

The Catalans are second in the tournament, totaling 79 units, four less than the Merengues. Their goalscoring record is a real threat to their opponents, having managed to score a total of 80 goals for and 36 against on 36 matchdays.

  • Possible FC Barcelona line-up: Ter Stegen, Alba, Lenglet, Pique, Semedo, Busquets, S. Roberto, Rakitic, Vidal, Luis Suarez, Messi
  • Injured for Matchday 37: Osmane Dembélé (Complete ruptured tendon) Antoine Griezmann (Quadriceps injury)
  • In doubt for Matchday 37: Samuel Umtiti (knee pain)

C.A. Osasuna Analysis

Osasuna achieved the main objective in the season, scoring the necessary points to stay one more season in the top category in Spain.

In this season the European objective was close, at the moment six points separated him from this possibility, which, despite the fact that it is those same six points that remain in the championship, the difference in goals for and against, are a threat to the aspirations of the team.

At the moment, Real Sociedad and Getafe are the ones who have the direct qualifying place and the one who go to the previous phase, respectively, both of them with 54 points, but their difference in goals determines their position in the table.

If Osasuna add six points to the 48 they have, they would need Getafe, Real Sociedad, not to add in any of their games, while Valencia and Granada get only three or one point from the six they will play, having clear that Osasuna must shake off a negative sum of goals of nine at the moment.

What matters for the city and for the team is that next season they will have a representative in the top category, they will have to work hard to make the leap into the next tournament in some European competition.

  • Possible Osasuna line-up: Herrera, Aridame, David García, Navas, Lato, Mérida, Moncayola, Nacho Vidal, Kike Barja, Gallego, Arnáiz
  • Injured for Matchday 37: Marc Cardona ( Bicep injury) Chimy Ávila (Broken ligament, crossed) Jorge Herrando (Metatarsal fracture)
  • In Doubt for Matchday 37: Unai Garcia (discomfort in the ear) Ruben Garcia (Overload on the shutter) Robert Ibañez (Injury in the anterior rectum)

Personal encounters between Barcelona and C.A Osasuna

In February 2012 was the last time that C.A Osasuna could get a win against Barcelona, after winning 3-2. Since then, they have faced each other seven times with five Catalan wins and two draws. The Barcelona players have scored on 26 occasions while Osasuna have scored on five.
